History
Originally built in 1845 as a home by Walter Scott, Clifton Hall was remodelled around 1851 as a change of venue. The building has ashlar-faced roof that is not seen behind the parapet. It has 2 storeys, 4 symetical bays divided by full-height pilasters with egg-and-dart-captials.
In 1974 the building was granted Grade II Listed status. In 2023, it was decided to allow the building to be used for other commericial activities - like room hire for meetings, functions and private parties/celebrations.
